Sun Bed Flat l Gandia Blasco 2009

After the introduction of the deckchair Flat characterized by its polypropylene and its colored aluminum frame, now is the turn for a whole new outdoor furniture collection composed by coaches, seating and tables. A common formal code links all these pieces: a subtle curvature in the profiles, the glides and the way the frame and body meet each other. The armrests for all the seating elements are profiles of a diverse longitude for functionality and performance reasons, all joining with the body in the same way. This range means also Gandia Blasco’s first entry in the soft furniture world concept, with upholstered parts and cushions for the first time making their way into the company catalogue. These are pieces for interior and exterior furnishing. In January 2008 this project received a Wallpaper Design Award as best outdoor furniture design.
