In the design of this domestic telephone for Thomson we strived for an image similar to that of a mobile phone. At the moment it seemed to be the most effective way of giving it an innovative and technological look, and to providing it with a personality that would make it stand out from similar products in the market. One of the most remarkable design features is the keyboard which is treated as a compact unit and the addition of the LCD screen. The shape of the keys was intended to be nice at hand touch, and there is an important load of graphics and color acting as supporting elements. For the speaker we chose a design solution consisting of subtle curves and rounded corners, completing the impression of a compact product.
